Sarri wants Chelsea to remain patient with him

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has indicated that the hierarchy need to remain patient with him, if the Blues are to emerge as serious title challengers in years to come. The west London side began the campaign in a bright fashion under Sarri and they were at one point leading the Premier League standings.

However, their form has since been average with defeats every now and then, and this has recently dropped them from the fourth position on goals scored to Arsenal. Speaking to reporters, Sarri has said that the successful English teams have always kept patience with their respective managers and gave the example of Jurgen Klopp’s rough beginning with Liverpool during his maiden season with them.

Juventus sporting director dismisses Chelsea’s prospects of signing Gonzalo Higuain

Juventus sporting director Fabricio Paratici has indicated that Chelsea are unlikely to pursue the signature of Gonzalo Higuain during the ongoing transfer window. The Argentina international joined AC Milan on a two-year loan move during the summer but he has since not experienced the best of seasons with just six goals in the Serie A.

In the event, there has been the speculation that the Rossoneri may mutually part ways with the striker, thereby allowing Chelsea to acquire his services. However, this does not seem the case, according to Paratici, who has indicated that the Rossoneri have no plans of terminating the loan deal of the former Napoli man.

David Luiz wants to remain with Chelsea for the long-term

Brazilian defender David Luiz has cited his ambition to remain with Chelsea for many years to come. The centre-back has been nearly ever-present for the Blues during their league campaign this term and he most recently starred against Manchester City by scoring the second goal of the stunning 2-0 triumph.

Shortly after the game, the central defender was asked about his future with the west London side to which he admitted that talks are progressing between the necessary parties, he said:“We are still talking, let’s see. Let’s see what the future brings. I love this club, everybody knows I want to stay.” Meanwhile, the Brazilian was further asked whether he is concerned by the current contract length but he remained relatively unperturbed saying: “I am just trying to enjoy, like every single day, Then, for sure, we will do the best thing for me, for Chelsea, for everybody.”

Alvaro Morata speaks about the qualities of Maurizio Sarri

Spain international Alvaro Morata has spoken about the positive mindset brought by manager Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge this season. The Blues had gone through a tough campaign where they only managed a fifth-place finish in the Premier League and this witnessed the dismissal of Antonio Conte from the head coach position.

Thereafter, many expected the Blues to have another difficult season in the top-flight but they have come through the test in flying colours with Sarri getting the tactics right in more or less every game. Speaking to reporters, Morata highlighted that Sarri has excellent man-management skills and the Italian knows to adjust the mood depending on the situation at the club.

Chelsea attacker not looking too far ahead despite strong Premier League start

Spain international Pedro has said that Chelsea are not looking far ahead from themselves despite a strong start to the current Premier League season. The west London giants have not succumbed to a defeat since the Community Shield game against Manchester City in August and the form has now propelled them into the second position, just two points off the top of the table.

Speaking after the recent game against Crystal Palace, Pedro acknowledged that the Blues have gone through an impressive run of results but they should continue to focus on a game-by-game basis, he told Chelsea TV: “The most important thing is step by step, game by game. The team knows we’re now in a very good position, but it’s too early to know anything. There are a lot of games until the end. It’s very important to continue in this moment.”

Maurizio Sarri explains Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s absence versus Southampton

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has indicated that Ruben Loftus-Cheek was only rested for the recent Premier League game versus Southampton. The England international made his maiden start for the Blues during the midweek Europa League triumph over MOL Vidi but this was however not deemed sufficient enough for him to feature against the Saints.

Speaking after the 3-0 away win over Southampton, Sarri indicated that the midfielder may not be prepared yet to secure a regular role and he would prefer to see more of him in training, he said: “No, not at the moment. After 70 minutes in the last match, for the first time this season, I preferred for him to have training.”
