Cucurella requests patience from Chelsea in Graham Potter

Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has claimed that the club should place a lot of faith in manager Graham Potter, who has gone through a difficult run of results in the last few months. The Chelsea manager might have started his regime in impressive fashion with a string of unbeaten results, but the 47-year-old has overseen a sharp decline in form for the team. The blues have suffered a defeat in three out of the recent four matches. As a result, the club has brought down to 8th place in the league table and even result in the friendlies just after the World Cup have also not been great.

Cucurella was signed by Chelsea in the summer for around £ 55 million. Yet, his purchase was done even before it was clear that Potter would become the next Chelsea coach. The Spaniard has been in impressive form since the move to the London club, but he has recently been displaced by Ben Chilwell for the same. Potter has always been an attacking coach and that it may take a while for his ideas to be implemented well by the squad, according to the left back.Cucurella has urged patience from supporters and the club with regard toPotter.

''He is a good coach because his idea of football is attacking. All of it is a process. The last games before the break we didn’t play too good or get results but this is a new season. This part of the season we have time, we meet more and know the ideas of the coach. This second part of the season, I am excited for. We have big players to do his ideas. I was really happy at Brighton with him and now he has come here and I think it is good for me and the rest of the team,” said Cucurella.
