MOUNT BACK IN CHELSEA SQUAD

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that star midfielder Mason Mount is back in the squad for the Premier League visit of Burnley after recovering from illness. England international Mount missed the last two Chelsea game in all competitions due to the illness. Chelsea boss Tuchel stated that Mount would be in his squad for the Burnley game on Saturday afternoon as he looks to at least maintain the three-point lead at the Premier League summit at the end of the games this weekend.

Mount has not featured for Chelsea in the league since he scored a treble in the 7-0 demolition of bottom team Norwich City last month. He came on as a second half substitute during the Carabao Cup penalty shootout win over Southampton at home in the fourth round. Mount came off the bench to miss his spot kick during the penalty shootout, but it didn't matter much as Chelsea beat Southampton 4-3 to advance into the quarterfinals after the two teams played out a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation time. Mount was rested for the Southampton game from the start as Tuchel freshened his squad.

Chelsea midfielder Mount has missed the last two games in all competitions since he made an appearance as a substitute againstthe Saints. He missed the big win over hosts Newcastle United in the Premier League as well as the slim win over home team Malmo FF in the Champions League.

Mount was missing from the Blues squad as they extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to three points with the 3-0 victory over Newcastle United thanks to goals from England international right-back Reece James (brace) and Jorginho (penalty). Chelsea Academy graduate Mount also missed the 1-0 win over Swedish champions Malmo FF thanks to the second half strike from Moroccan international player Hakim Ziyech.
