CHELSEA TRIO OUT OF MORECAMBE CLASH

Three Chelsea players have been ruled out of the FA Cup third round clash with League Two outfit Morecambe as confirmed by Blues manager Frank Lampard. The Chelsea boss told reporters that N'GoloKante, Andreas Christensen and Reece James won't play any part in the FA Cup match with Morecambe at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Frank Lampard gave the update on the three Chelsea players during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the Morecambe game. Morecambe have a good season in League Two, the fourth tier of English football. They are in the promotion picture as things stand with the club in seventh position but the Chelsea game might be a step too far.

Premier League legend Michael Owen has predicted a 6-0 scoreline on BetVictor in favour of Chelsea who are looking to bounce back after a poor run of one win in the last six league games played.
French World Cup winner N'GoloKante has a slight hamstring injury as confirmed by Frank Lampard. According to the Blues manager, the injury is not a serious one and that he has decided to rest him for the FA Cup clash with Morecambe. Kante is suspended for the next league game, an away trip to the Craven Cottage to face West London rivals Fulham. The Frenchman should be back to face former club Leicester City away from home later this month.
England international Reece James also has a hamstring injury and this prompted him to miss the recent Aston Villa and Manchester City games. He will return to full training this weekend but he won't be involved in the Morecambe game. He's in line to return to the team for the away league clash at Fulham on Friday. Danish international Andreas Christensen is also out of the FA Cup third round tie with lowly Morecambe as a result of the injury that he picked up during the collision with Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish some days back.
