DROGBA IN FOR SURGERY

Didier Drogba and Chelsea plan to make the most of his suspension for violent conduct which he picked up in the match against QPR - he is going to have surgery on his arm.

Whilst there was nothing particularly wrong with Didier's arm at the moment, the surgery would enable the medical team to remove six of the eight screws that were put there when he broke his arm. The screws have been causing Drogba increasing discomfort, and he'll be glad to get have them out.

Drogba's straight red against the Rangers means that he will miss three matches. He has already sat out of one (against Arsenal, when he was sorely missed), but with the international break etc, he won't be eligible to play again until 27th November, so the club thought he might has well get the operation over an done with.

Good luck, and get well soon Didier!
