CHELSEA SET TO REPLACE IVANOVIC

Chelsea are set to replace Branislav Ivanovic this summer as the club searches for his replacement. With incoming coach Anthonio Conte given a huge task to lead the team to glory, he wants to revamp the team to his taste meaning players like Ivanovic could leave the club or get set for fewer appearances at Stamford Bridge in the coming season.

Conte is currently on official duty for the Azzurri’s Euro 2016 campaign but will resume at the club immediately the tournament ends. The 46-year-old spent three years in charge of the Old Lady before he stood down to take on the challenge of managing the Italy national team. He worked with Stephan Lichtsteiner during his three-year term guiding Juventus to three successive Serie A titles.

The new Chelsea manager has been linked with a move for the Switzerland defender given Branislav Ivanovic’s struggles last season. According to reports from Italy, the coach will make a bid officially to land the player very soon. Most of the first teamers could lose their position with only few slots possibly saved like Brazilian Willian, the goalkeeper Courtois and others that have been speculated. The news that Conte is about to take over saw fans flooding on to Livefootballtickets.com in order to get tickets for his first game in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Accordng to reports from Calciomercatoweb, Inter Milan are set to lure the 32-year-old defender as they are set to even offer Brazil star Joao Miranda in return. Lichtsteiner has won five successive Serie A titles since his move to Juventus and is a very close favourite of Conte.

Ivanovic has stuck with the team since his game when Carlo Ancelotti used him as full time right back in 2009 as Bosginwa was injured. His height and his versatility had given the team a unique advantage on the right flank but the last campaign was poor for the player. He struggled with hamstring injury as well but would have to face the competition if he is to remain at the club.
